Villanova Women 3rd at Paul Short Run

Lipari leads Akande at Paul Short Run

Saturday at nearby Lehigh University the #12 ranked Villanova women (168) came third in the team competition at the Paul Short Run (6K), behind #6 Georgetown (112) and unranked Dartmouth (125).  Villanova bested #10 Cornell (182), #29 West Virgina (257), and #13 Penn State (326) in the meeting.  Leading the way for Villanova were seniors Emily Lipari, who came 6th overall, and Nicky Akande, one second behind in 8th place.  Freshman Angel Piccirillo took another top-20 finish, some 28 seconds behind Lipari.
