Women #1, Men #29 in Latest USTFCCA Polls
The Villanova women's country team, fresh off its third consecutive Big East title, maintained its overall national #1 ranking in the November 2 release of the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCA) rankings. Some big changes occurred in the rankings (see below), but Villanova was the unanimous choice of all voters for the top spot.

On the men's side, the Villanova harriers remained in the 29th spot nationally after finishing 4th in the Big East meet. Big East rivals Notre Dame and Georgetown fell behind Villanova in the poll, but Minnestota and Providence entered the poll ahead of Villanova. The effect was that the Cats' ranking stayed the same. Anticipating the NCAA regional competition, the Mid-Atlantic regional rankings look like this:
