Carmen Hussar 5th at "Road to London" Twilight 1500



A former World Indoor silver medalist (2004, Budapest) and NCAA champion while at Villanova, Carmen Hussar (nee Douma) chased after a 2012 Olympic qualifying standard on May 30th in New York. She finished 5th in the 1500 meters at the Road to London Twilight Series 3 meet. Douma-Hussar ran 4:15.30, well off the Olympic "B" standard of 4:08.90. Her PR at the distance is 4:02.29, set back at Rieti in 2005. She represented her native Canada at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where she was 9th in 1500 finals in 4:02.31.
