Cross Country Teams Set for Wisconsin Adidas Invitational
The Villanova cross country teams will travel to Madison Wisconsin for Friday's Wisconsin Adidas Invitational. On the men's side, 39 teams (20 of them ranked in the top 30 in the country) are competing, including #2 Wisconsin, #4 Stanford, #6 BYU, #7 Indiana, #9 North Carolina State, and #10 Oregon. Villanova's men are currently ranked #19 in the country. Marcus O'Sullian has listed the men's competitors as follows (note that Brian Long and Greg Morrin will compete in the "B" race and that Sam McEntee will evidently lose the "unattached" status that he worn so far this year when he competes in the main race):

On the women's side of the ledger, 42 teams will compete, 19 of them ranked in the top 30 in the country. Aside from #1 Villanova, the field is loaded as six teams are ranked in the top 10 nationally: #2 Providence, #6 Stanford, #7 New Mexico, #8 Syracuse, #9 Iowa State, and #10 California. Gina Procaccio's team will consist of the following harriers (note that defending national champion Sheila Reid will make her 2011 debut and that Villanova's top 7 includes two freshmen: Courtney Chapman and Stephanie Schappert):
