Women #4, Men # 16 in USTFCCCA National XC Poll
As expected, the Villanova men moved up in the national criss country rankings released today, up three spots from #19 to #16. The Villanova women also moved three spots, dropping from national #1 to #4 (one vote short of #3). Florida State is the new #1 on the women's side, receiving all 12 first place votes, while Oklahoma State stays put as the #1 team on the men's side.
Looking at other Big East teams, on the men's Providence is in at #14, with Notre Dame #29. For the women, Georgetown dropped one spot to #6, Providence went from #2 to #7, Syracuse in now #9, West Virginia is #18, Notre Dame is #23, and Connecticut entered the rankings at #28.
