Bobby Curtis to Headline Hansons-Brooks Team at USATF National Club 8K Championship in Chicago

Bobby Curtis will lead the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project team at this weekend's USATF National Club 8K Championship in Chicago.  The USATF event is being held on Sunday April 7th in conjuction with the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K.  It will be the third race for Curtis as a Hansons-Brooks sponsored athlete.  In his debut on February 24th, Curtis won the Gasparilla 8K in Tampa, Florida, setting a new course record of 23:30.  Information on that race is available HERE.  In his second race, on March 9, Curtis came second to Ben True at the USA 15K championship in Jacksonville.  Curtis ran 43:30, two seconds behind True.  Go HERE for a review of that race.



This Sunday in Chicago, Curtis will headline a Hansons-Brooks team comprised as follows:

 Hansons-Brooks Distance Project A (Rochester Hills, MI)
1.  Bobby Curtis
2.  Dustin Emerick
3.  Colby Lowe
4.  Jacob Riley
5.  Robert Scribner

 Elite clubs will compete in two divisions—men’s and women’s—and can enter a maximum of five (5) runners per team. Men’s teams must enter a minimum of four (4) runners per team, and women’s teams must enter a minimum of three (3) runners. In the men’s division, the top four (4) finishers will count toward team scoring; in the women’s division, the top three (3) finishers will count toward team scoring. The teams with the lowest combined finish time among their scoring runners will be declared the winners.  The top 5 men's and women's will each split $10,000 in prize money.
